Mapalus is a traditional cooperation system of the Minahasa people in North Sulawesi. The word "Mapalus" comes from the Minahasa language meaning working together for the common good. This system has existed for hundreds of years and has become the foundation of Minahasa social life.

Mapalus Practice in Daily Life

Mapalus is applied in various aspects of life, from agriculture (working together in the fields), house construction, to organizing traditional and religious events. In the Mapalus system, each community member contributes their energy and time in turns to help each other.
